Boccaccio ’70 (20th Century Fox, 1963).
With a trifecta of temptresses and top-notch Italian filmmakers, this three-part film written in the style of legendary Italian essayist Boccaccio is a delightful comedic fantasy. In the first segment, Vittorio De Sica directs Sophia Loren as a sexy proprietor of a shooting gallery, who offers herself as first prize for the best shot. The second installment is directed by Luchino Visconti, guiding Romy Schneider as a woman infatuated with her playboy boss (Tomas Milian). The final chapter features Anita Ekberg in the hands of director Federico Fellini, as she transforms herself from an image on a poster to the real-life muse of a starstruck middle-aged professor.
