Very Scarce Country Of Origin Premier brochure bound in satin for this controversial Hedy Lamarr Movie!
This picture sensationalized her as a major Hollywood star. A scene of twenty-year-old Lamarr swimming nude in a lake sent US censors mad, and the scene was excised from the prints released in America. This is the reason no major distributor would release the film. Instead, it was distributed on an independent, regional basis.
Please note, She married a rich German manufacturer, who attempted to buy up all the prints of the movie, to no avail. In 1937, she divorced her husband and moved to Hollywood, where she was renamed, Hedy Lamar, and she immediately became a major star.
