This superb British murder mystery is set in a rural English emergency hospital during WWII. The mystery begins when a local postman dies while undergoing a minor operation. Six people are present, any one of whom could have murdered the patient. When a nurse discovers the secret she too is mysteriously murdered. Alastair Sim, in one of his most memorable performances as the dry-witted Inspector Cockrill, is called in to solve the murder.
