Double-bill release of Ivan Groznyj I (released in the U.S. in 1947 as “Ivan the Terrible Part One” and simply as “Ivan the Terrible”), the 1944 Sergei M. Eisenstein Russian historical biographical war melodrama (reportedly, Eisenstein made this movie specifically because Josef Stalin wanted it made!) starring Nikolai Cherkasov (in the title role as Czar Ivan IV), Lyudmila Tselikovskaya, Serafima Birman, Mikhail Nazvanov, and Mikhail Zharov, with a wonderful musical score by Serge Prokofiev!
