Ultra Rare Poster for this Romantic coming-of-age melodrama movie, (released in the U.S. in 1955 by Kroger Babb as a sex movie under the titles of “Summer with Monika”, “Monika”, and “Monika, the Story of a Bad Girl”),
Based on the Per Anders Fogelström novel, this Swedish romance was directed by Ingmar Bergman and made a star of its lead actress, Harriet Andersson. Causing quite a stir for its frank depiction of nudity, the film would later kickstart the exploitation market’s interest in “Swedish sin” in the mid to late 1950s. Presented here for the first time is this beautiful British poster!
