Best remembered for its soundtrack composed by Beatle George Harrison, Wonderwall stars Jack MacGowan, Jane Birkin, Richard Wattis, Irene Handl, and Iain Quarrier. MacGowan plays a butterfly-collecting professor who discovers he can spy on his neighbors Penny Lane (Birkin) and Quarrier, a pop photographer. An all-consuming obsession follows, with MacGowan observing the couple’s every move.
