Hedy Lamarr (using the name Hedy Kiesler) had made a few films prior to “Extase,” however, at the youthful age of twenty, she would make the picture that sensationalized her into a major Hollywood star. The film would use a nude scene of the actress swimming in a lake that censors would have to excise from the prints released in the US.
